Saint Cecila ... the patron saint of music

I love this antique print of Saint Cecila, the patron saint of music. When I acquired this I had no idea who it was. I was captivated by the colors. And I adore cherubs and pink roses.

I recently did a little surfing on etsy to find a smaller version offered by the shop, beatinheart. It's framed in a lovely chippy ornate frame. Cynthia the owner, found her's in a tiny shop in Belgium many years ago and I found mine in a thrift shop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida only a few months ago. Isn't she lovely?

I must confess I am not Catholic but for years I have been drawn to Catholic art as well as religious art of all faiths. I have many Santos' and Madonna's and crosses from my years traveling.

I have not yet to find a place for her in my home. Hopefully soon I'll be able to showcase her.
